The Eastern men’s and women’s soccer teams competed during the spring season this weekend.

The Eastern women’s soccer team lost 1-0 to Illinois State on Saturday in Normal.

This was the first match under new head coach Summer Perala.

The women’s soccer team returns to action with match to be determined on April 4.

The men’s team played Bradley to a scoreless tie on Sunday afternoon in Pekin.

The match was scheduled for Peoria, but it was moved to Pekin Dragon’s Dome because of snow at Shea Stadium.

The men’s team is competing at the Governor’s Cup on April 4. The Panthers are playing Northern Illinois at noon and either Southern Illinois Edwardsville or Western Illinois at 2 p.m. Both of these matches will be played in Macomb.
