11/19: Food blog: Where to eat? That is the question.

Now if you have swipes and dining dollars, there’s several places on campus you can go eat. But what I’m going to do is black vs. white, good vs. bad, God vs. Satan (not really that last one). What I’m going to blog about is eating at one of the dining halls vs. eating at the M.L.K. Union food court.
Now, there are four dining halls. There’s Thomas, Taylor, Stevenson and Carmen. And what a coincidence there are four different operations in the food court, not including the random food and drinks in the middle and around the edges. There is Chick-fil-A, Subway, Panther Grille & Greek Odyssey, and Connie’s Pizza.
Next coincidence is Taylor often serves Chicken, like Chick-fil-A. Thomas and Stevenson serve sandwiches like Subway. Carmen has a hot bar like the middle of the food court. Thomas also serves Pizza like Connie’s does. So how can you choose? Connie’s has hotdogs, hamburgers, fries, and garlic cheese bread to name a few things. Thomas often has hamburgers but you don’t have a choice in what fries you get there unless they’re serving more than one kind of fry that day.
The only reason I don’t have trouble choosing is because of a plan I made my first year here that I still stick to. When I go out to eat, I’ll go to a dining hall if I can use a swipe. When I want a snack I’ll wander to the Union and pick something up. If I do get hungry for a meal after I’ve swiped but before the time limit has passed I’ll go to the union. The only exception to my rules is if someone invites me out to eat and chooses to eat at the Union. I can’t say no to that!
